The Big Event 2024

The 8th Annual Caldwell Big Event is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2024. Approximately 300 middle school students and their accompanying staff sponsors will be bused into the community to various locations, including local parks, residential homes, churches and other designated locations. At those job sites, students will be performing safe, student-friendly services such as picking up trash, cleaning benches and playscapes, sweeping, shoveling, and spreading mulch. This event is a great way to enhance the partnership between schools, families, and the community. Many intelligent, inspiring, and hard-working students in Caldwell ISD will showcase their excellence when given the opportunity to give back to the community they call home. You can help in three ways: providing job sites, donating supplies, or monetary donations. Job sites must have the work completed within four hours, be completed by middle school students, and not require power tools or tall ladders. Supplies such as gloves for trash pickup and gardening tools may be donated. Monetary donations will be used to provide lunch and a T-shirt for volunteers. The approximate cost per student is $10 for a shirt and lunch. Donors will be recognized on the back of the shirt.
